India is still without an esports medal at the 2026 Asian Games, with three of its four events already completed. The PUBG Mobile competition has now ended, with Thailand winning gold, China taking silver and Pakistan claiming bronze. India’s League of Legends team remains its final esports entry at Aichi-Nagoya.

Thailand Wins PUBG Mobile Gold

The PUBG Mobile event concluded on September 29 after 12 matches across two days. Thailand finished first with 128 points, while China followed with 114 points to take silver. Pakistan secured the bronze medal with 100 points. Indonesia and Vietnam were next, both ending on 95 points.

Thailand maintained its lead after starting the second day at the top of the standings. China finished 14 points behind, while Pakistan held off the teams chasing the final podium position.

India’s Esports Medal Count Remains at Zero

India entered the Asian Games esports competition with a 15-member contingent across eFootball, Puyo Puyo Champions, Pokémon UNITE and League of Legends. The first three campaigns have ended without a medal.

In eFootball, Danial Patel and Chinmay Sahoo were eliminated in the group stage. Puyo Puyo player Paritosh reached the quarterfinals but lost 0–5 to South Korea’s Kang Dongshin. India’s Pokémon UNITE lineup also exited in the group stage after losses against South Korea and Hong Kong.

League of Legends Is India’s Final Event

India’s League of Legends squad, drawn from S8UL Esports, is still active. The team is led by captain Akshaj Shenoy and is placed in Group B alongside South Korea, Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong.

The Group B matches are scheduled for September 30, followed by the semifinals on October 1 and the final on October 2. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage.
