The 16-team lineup for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2026 Grand Finals is confirmed following the conclusion of the Last Chance stage on October 13. While Myth Official, Welt Esports, Genesis Esports, and Wyld Fangs secured the final four spots, defending champions Orangutan were eliminated from the tournament.
The Grand Finals will take place from October 16 to 18 at Savaaya Convention in Hyderabad, with teams competing for a share of the ₹1 crore prize pool and qualification opportunities for upcoming international events.
Myth Official Lead Last Chance Qualifiers
Myth Official finished at the top of the Last Chance standings with 119 points after 12 matches. Welt Esports secured second place with 99 points, followed by Genesis Esports with 95 points.
Wyld Fangs claimed the fourth and final qualification spot with 90 points. Genesis delivered a crucial performance in the final match, securing a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (WWCD) to finish third overall.
The qualification battle remained close, as Elite Nova Esports and Team Tamilas also finished with 90 points. However, Wyld Fangs secured the final spot through the tournament's tiebreaking rules.
Orangutan Eliminated After Disappointing Campaign
Orangutan's title defence ended after the team finished ninth in the Last Chance stage with 79 points. The squad recorded one WWCD but could not collect enough points to break into the top four.
The defending champions finished 11 points behind the qualification cutoff. Their elimination also ends their BMSD 2026 campaign before the Grand Finals, ruling them out of the qualification opportunities available through this tournament for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2026 and BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2026.
Despite individual contributions from players such as AKOP and WizzGOD, Orangutan struggled to maintain the consistency needed to progress.
All 16 Teams Prepare for the Grand Finals
The Grand Finals will feature 16 teams: four from the Qualifiers, eight from the Semi Finals, and four from the Last Chance stage.
Qualified teams:
- Qualifiers: Meta Ninza, Team 8Bit, Revenant XSpark, Blitz Epigrotive Gaming
- Semi Finals: Team Apex Gaming, Nebula Esports, Team SouL, K9 Esports, Blue Army, GodLike Esports, Team Outrage, Gladiators Esports
- Last Chance: Myth Official, Welt Esports, Genesis Esports, Wyld Fangs
The finalists will compete across three days, with a maximum of 18 matches. The BMSD 2026 champion will secure a place at PMGC 2026, while the top six teams will qualify for BMIC 2026.
With the defending champions out of contention, the Grand Finals offer the remaining teams an opportunity to claim the BMSD title and establish themselves among India's leading BGMI squads.
