Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 has introduced new content inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, alongside a collection of free items inspired by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The update arrived on October 22, 2026, bringing new gameplay features, quests and customization options to Night City.
Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 Introduces New Features
According to CD Projekt RED’s official announcement, the Edgerunners 2 Update adds several features to Cyberpunk 2077. These include cross-platform mod support, new clothing collections, additional Photo Mode poses and customizable cyberware appearances.
The update also introduces the Double Trouble perk, allowing players to dual-wield Power-category pistols and revolvers. Players can explore a new side quest, Clampdown, featuring content inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, alongside a new radio station featuring music from the animated series.
Free Witcher 3 Items Discovered in Night City
Alongside the announced additions, players have discovered five free items inspired by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. As reported by TalkEsport, the collection includes the Sihil sword, Boar Carver knife, Ursine Jacket, Ursine Pants and The Professor’s Spectacles.
The Ursine clothing pieces reference the School of the Bear equipment from The Witcher 3, while the other items draw inspiration from the fantasy RPG's weapons and accessories.
How to Claim the Free Witcher Gear
Players can obtain the items through an in-game interaction with Ariadne, a contact introduced in the update. After responding to her messages, players need to advance in-game time and wait for confirmation that a package has arrived.
The package can then be collected from the stash near the entrance of V’s original apartment in Megabuilding H10, located in Watson. Players can equip the rewards and continue exploring Night City with the Witcher-inspired gear.
More Content for Cyberpunk 2077 Players
Update 2.5 combines new Edgerunners 2-inspired content with gameplay improvements and unexpected crossover rewards. The addition of the Witcher-themed items gives players another reason to revisit Night City while CD Projekt RED continues expanding the experience beyond its original release.
The update is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version scheduled to receive it later.
