Dream11 has announced a major shift in its business model, moving away from pure-play fantasy sports to become an AI-first global sports engagement platform. The company will now focus on sports content, live streaming, statistics, scores and community experiences.

Dream11 Ends Prizes on Free Contests

As part of the transition, Dream11 will no longer offer prizes on free contests. Instead, the platform will focus on sports content, commentary, community experiences and social contests.

The company has also appointed Vaibhav Kokal, formerly its Chief Operating Officer, as its new CEO.

Focus on Personalized Experiences

Dream11 said its new platform will provide a more personalized experience based on users’ preferences for sports, leagues, teams and players.

The platform aims to bring different fan experiences together, allowing users to access match-related content, statistics and social contests in one place.

Dream11 Expands Its Global Reach

The company began its shift toward a free-to-play model in August 2025, when it stopped offering paid contests. It later expanded internationally, launching its free-to-play platform in 11 countries, including the US, UK, Australia and UAE.

Revamped Platform

Dream11 had also introduced a revamped app featuring creator-focused Watch Alongs, allowing users to follow matches through creator-led live streams. However, the company later stopped providing live streams to consumers and discontinued paid subscriptions for ad-free access and other features.

The latest changes mark another step in Dream11’s transition toward a broader sports engagement platform driven by AI and personalized fan experiences.
