NetEase Games has officially revealed Gorr the God Butcher as the newest playable hero coming to Marvel Rivals with Season 10: Butcher’s Blasphemy. The new season launches on September 11, 2026, introducing Gorr as a powerful Duelist armed with the deadly All-Black the Necrosword.
Gorr's arrival also marks a major development in the game's ongoing storyline. The Season 10 trailer shows the God Butcher continuing his campaign against divine beings and arriving in Yggsgard, where he comes into conflict with Loki and other gods.
All-Black and Black Berserkers
Gorr's gameplay revolves around All-Black, the Necrosword, which can change forms during combat, including transforming into a scythe. His abilities are designed around aggressive movement and battlefield control.
After defeating enemies, Gorr can summon Black Berserkers from their remains. These minions can attack opponents independently, while Gorr can also use them to reposition and launch unexpected attacks. His ultimate ability transforms All-Black into the Annihilablade, increasing its threat and unleashing the Berserkers against nearby enemies.
New Season, New Content
Gorr will be the only new hero launching with Season 10, breaking Marvel Rivals' recent pattern of adding two heroes per season. NetEase is instead focusing on other gameplay improvements and the continuing Avengers: Doomsday-related content.
Season 10 will also introduce the God Quarry Domination map, new events and cosmetic items. The map is scheduled to arrive on September 24, while additional seasonal events and content will roll out throughout the season.
With Gorr's arrival, Marvel Rivals is set to bring one of Marvel's most dangerous villains into the playable roster, putting the game's gods directly in the crosshairs of the God Butcher.
