Fortnite is set to add one of indie gaming’s most recognizable characters as part of its ongoing Fortnitemares 2026 celebrations. Hollow Knight’s Knight is expected to arrive in Fortnite on October 7, although some of the detailed cosmetic information comes from leaks and should still be treated cautiously.
Hollow Knight Joins Fortnite
The crossover brings the Knight from Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight into Fortnite through the game’s Sidekick system rather than as a traditional playable Outfit.
The collaboration has also been featured in Fortnite’s official Fortnitemares 2026 lineup, confirming that Hollow Knight content is coming to the game during October.
Knight and Shade Styles Reportedly Included
According to leaked information, the Knight Sidekick could feature a Shade Style, giving players an alternate appearance based on the character’s darker form.
Other reported items include a Knight-inspired Nail Pickaxe, a Sidekick emote featuring the Knight sitting on a bench, and a Grub in a Jar Back Bling that may react to actions such as eliminations and opening chests. These details have not all been officially confirmed by Epic Games.
October 7 Release Expected
The Hollow Knight crossover is listed for October 7, with Fortnite's Fortnitemares 2026 roadmap also placing the collaboration on that date.
However, players may have to wait for the official Item Shop release to learn the final pricing and exact contents of the bundle.
A Major Indie Gaming Crossover
The crossover gives Hollow Knight fans a new way to see the iconic character inside Fortnite. It also continues Fortnite's growing use of Sidekicks to bring smaller and non-traditional gaming characters into the game.
