KRAFTON India has introduced BATTLIN, a new competitive gaming platform designed to make esports tournaments more accessible to players across the country. Announced on October 16, 2026, during the BMSD 2026 Grand Finals in Hyderabad, the platform will debut with BATTLIN Open Season 1, featuring a combined prize pool of ₹20 lakh and a qualification opportunity for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2027.

What Is BATTLIN?

BATTLIN aims to bring tournament discovery, registration, match scheduling, result tracking and reward distribution together in one platform. Previously, players and organisers often relied on messaging groups and separate tools to coordinate competitions.

The platform will allow players to discover tournaments and register without depending on personal connections or invitations. It will also support tournament organisers, including content creators, colleges, gaming cafés and esports communities, in hosting and managing their own competitions.

BATTLIN Open Season 1: Dates and Prize Pool

The platform's first major competition, BATTLIN Open Season 1, is scheduled to run from November 2 to November 29, 2026. Registration is expected to remain open until November 1, with more than 5,000 slots available across its two competition tracks.

According to FoneArena, the tournament will distribute its combined ₹20 lakh prize pool across two tracks. Track 1 carries ₹5 lakh and a direct BGIS qualification opportunity, while Track 2 offers ₹15 lakh and the BATTLIN Open champion title.

A New Route to BGIS 2027

The direct BGIS qualification opportunity is one of the announcement's biggest highlights. It could give aspiring teams another route towards one of India's major BGMI esports competitions, beyond the established competitive circuit.

By combining tournament participation with a qualification opportunity, BATTLIN could help emerging teams gain greater visibility and experience. However, the exact qualification stage and detailed eligibility requirements should be confirmed through the official tournament rules.

How BATTLIN Could Impact Indian Esports

KRAFTON's new platform aims to simplify the process of organising and joining competitive gaming events. Bringing registration, scheduling, results and rewards into one place could reduce administrative challenges for both players and organisers.

With its first tournament beginning in November, BATTLIN will provide an early indication of how effectively the platform can support grassroots BGMI esports. Further details about tournament rules and participation are expected to clarify how players can take part.
