The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026 Season 2 Americas Finals concluded on September 20, with teams from across the Americas competing for qualification to the Season 2 Main Event and a share of the $50,000 prize pool.
16 Teams Compete in the Americas Finals
The tournament was held from September 18 to 20 in São Paulo, Brazil. A total of 16 teams competed across 18 matches, with six games played each day.
The participating teams represented Brazil, North America and Latin America. The top four teams at the end of the tournament earned qualification to the PMGO Season 2 Main Event.
Four Teams Earn Main Event Spots
The Americas Finals featured teams including FURIA, UPGrade, FUSION VIP, Fox Power, Team Entity, THUNDER eSports and Sweet Madness.
The tournament used a points system in which teams earned placement points as well as one point for every elimination. The first-place team received 10 placement points, while the remaining positions received progressively fewer points.
The top four teams qualified for the next stage of PMGO Season 2, while the remaining teams were eliminated from the regional competition.
$50,000 Prize Pool
The PMGO 2026 Season 2 Americas Finals had a total prize pool of $50,000.
In addition to prize money, teams earned PUBG Mobile Global Championship points based on their final placement. The first-place team received 120 PMGC points, followed by 80 for second, 55 for third and 37 for fourth. Teams finishing from fifth to 16th also received points, with the amount decreasing according to their final position.
What the Results Mean
The Americas Finals were an important step toward the PMGO Season 2 Main Event, with the top four teams securing their places in the next stage.
The tournament also brought together players from several countries, including Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Chile, Argentina, India, Ukraine, Uruguay, Colombia, Canada and Puerto Rico. Brazil had the largest player representation, with 33 of the 72 players competing in the event.
