Two major PlayStation titles have had their storage requirements revealed, giving players an idea of how much space they will need before downloading Marvel’s Wolverine and GTA 5 Expanded and Enhanced. The details also offer a look at the storage requirements of upgraded console games.
Marvel’s Wolverine Storage Details
Marvel’s Wolverine is scheduled to launch on September 15, 2026, with its PS5 file size and pre-load details revealed ahead of release.
The game requires 79.36 GB of storage space on PS5. Players will also be able to pre-load the title before its official launch, allowing them to have the game ready ahead of release day.
Marvel’s Wolverine will also include Photo Mode, New Game+ and mission replay functionality at launch, along with a day-one patch.
GTA 5 Next-Gen File Size Revealed
The Expanded and Enhanced Edition of GTA 5 had its file size revealed ahead of its 2022 launch.
The listed storage requirements were:
PS5: 86.837 GB
Xbox Series X/S: 94.285 GB
However, it remained unclear whether these figures represented the complete GTA 5 package or only the standalone GTA Online version, as both store listings were for GTA Online.
Upgraded Versions Require More Storage
GTA 5’s next-generation version featured several technical and graphical improvements, including 4K support at up to 60 FPS, HDR, ray tracing, higher resolution and increased draw distance. It also included faster loading times and higher-quality 3D audio.
Meanwhile, Marvel’s Wolverine is being developed for PS5 with additional features planned for its launch.
