Team Falcons have extended Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov’s contract until 2030, securing the future of one of Counter-Strike 2’s leading AWPers. The announcement, made on October 12, 2026, puts an end to fresh speculation surrounding the Russian player’s future with the Saudi Arabian esports organisation.

The extension follows Falcons’ victory at the IEM Cologne Major in June, where m0NESY earned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. The organisation has not disclosed the financial details of the new agreement.

Falcons Secure m0NESY’s Long-Term Future

Falcons announced the extension through a social media post featuring the caption “thank you for everything,” initially giving fans the impression that the organisation might be preparing to announce his departure.

However, the accompanying video confirmed that m0NESY would remain with the team through 2030. Falcons also responded humorously to the transfer speculation, turning the announcement into a playful moment for the Counter-Strike community.

The 21-year-old joined Falcons from G2 Esports in April 2025. His arrival reunited him with Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, with whom he had previously played at G2. Since joining Falcons, m0NESY has maintained strong individual performances, averaging a 1.29 HLTV rating across his tenure, according to HLTV’s report.

IEM Cologne Major Victory Strengthens His Position

Although m0NESY delivered consistent individual performances after joining Falcons, the team had to wait for its breakthrough title. That moment arrived at the IEM Cologne Major in June 2026, when Falcons defeated FURIA 3–0 in the grand final.

m0NESY was named the tournament’s MVP, adding another major achievement to his career. The victory established Falcons as Major champions and gave the organisation a strong foundation for its future roster plans.

The contract extension allows Falcons to continue building around their star AWPer as they aim to remain competitive at the highest level of CS2.

Falcons Prepare for Upcoming CS2 Events

Falcons’ next tournament is the Thunderpick World Championship, scheduled for October 14–18 in Malta. The team is set to open its campaign against Ninjas in Pyjamas on October 14.

The squad also has IEM Beijing and BLAST Rivals Fall on its upcoming schedule before the PGL Major Singapore 2026, scheduled for November 24 to December 13. Falcons will enter the Singapore Major as defending champions.

With m0NESY committed through 2030, Falcons can focus on their upcoming competitions while maintaining stability in one of the most important positions on their CS2 roster. The extension signals the organisation’s intention to continue competing for major titles with the Russian AWPer at the centre of its plans.
