TenZ is giving VALORANT players a chance to turn their aim into one Bitcoin. The streamer will host Coinbase One Shot, a 1v1 tournament featuring European and North American competitions, with an in-person final scheduled for October 25 and 26 in New York City. Both grand finalists will also receive tickets to VCT Champions 2027.
TenZ announced his involvement on September 7, directing players to sign up for the competition. The event puts individual duels at the center of the action, using a best-of-one format.
Players have two routes towards the finals: Creator Cups for streamers and content creators, and Open Qualifiers for the wider competitive field. Europe and North America each have their own events.
Coinbase One Shot dates and format
The Creator Cups begin on September 13, followed by the regional Open Qualifiers later in the month. Here is the schedule.
Event | Date | Start Time |
|---|---|---|
Europe Creator Cup | September 13, 2026 | 4 PM CEST |
North America Creator Cup | September 26, 2026 | 2 PM PDT |
North America Open Qualifier | September 27, 2026 | 2 PM PDT |
Europe Open Qualifier | September 27, 2026 | 2 PM CEST |
New York finals | October 25-26, 2026 | To be confirmed |
While TenZ’s announcement mentions September 27 for the Open Qualifier, the detailed regional schedule places North America’s event a day earlier.
The same report says the top two finishers from the Creator Cups and Open Qualifier will be invited to New York, although it does not establish a confirmed total number of finalists.
Players can find registration links on the Coinbase One Shot website. Entrants should check their regional event page for eligibility requirements and the latest registration deadline.
Coinbase’s involvement in VALORANT goes back to 2025
The tournament follows Coinbase’s existing relationship with Riot Games. Riot announced the partnership in May 2025, naming Coinbase the exclusive cryptocurrency exchange and a blockchain technology partner for global VALORANT and League of Legends esports events.
The partnership began with VCT Masters Toronto in June 2025. Riot outlined plans for custom broadcast segments, event activities, hospitality promotions and giveaways, giving Coinbase a presence around some of its biggest competitions.
One Shot extends that involvement into a competition players can enter themselves. With separate creator and public qualification routes, the event gives competitors a chance to reach the New York stage, where one Bitcoin awaits the eventual winner.
