VALORANT patch 13.06 gives players a different way to judge their impact after a match, with Performance Score replacing Average Combat Score.

Warden, Gauntlet: Glitched and Agent Mastery headline the update. Our earlier VALORANT patch 13.06 breakdown covers the rifle, the mode’s mixed-ability 2v2 battles, and progression for individual Agents. The full notes now explain more of the competitive changes.

Performance Score looks beyond your kill count

According to Riot’s official patch 13.06 notes, the new 0–500 score considers more than kills and damage. It determines MVP and scoreboard placement in Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay and Premier.

You can check the post-match breakdown to see what affected your score and where you could improve.

Accolades and Rank Legacy keep track of your achievements

Accolades track personal bests for the current Act and lifetime in Competitive and Premier. Everyone starts fresh, so your previous matches will not count.

Rank Legacy records ranks you have achieved. Each rank’s counter can increase once during Acts I–III and once during Acts IV–VI. Demoting into a rank does not add to it.

A few details to know before queueing

Agent Mastery also starts at zero, regardless of previous playtime. You keep your unlocked gear.

Range queueing excludes Premier, Deathmatch and modes without Agent Select. Retake leaves the rotation, while Map Rating is planned for 13.08. Competitive Flex and Radiant updates are scheduled for 14.00.

Riot expands voice-chat abuse detection

In its Playing with Respect update, Riot confirms improvements to voice-abuse detection in Spanish, Portuguese and Korean.

The company says changes over the past year have helped it identify and penalize twice as many instances of voice-chat abuse. That figure reflects the broader improvements, rather than this patch alone.

Riot also makes a distinction between competitive banter and abuse. Talking about a play is different from repeatedly targeting someone personally, making threats or using hate speech.

If someone crosses that line in your match, Riot asks you to use the Voice Comms Abuse report category. Reports help it review incidents and improve detection.
