Fortnite v42.10 Release Time: When Will the Update Go Live?

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override received its first major update with the release of v42.10 on September 3, 2026. The update introduced several new gameplay features and content, giving players more ways to experience the ongoing Override season. The update follows several major developments in the current season, including Sonic's retro gaming crossover in Fortnite.

Fortnite v42.10 Update Release Time

Epic Games scheduled server downtime to begin at 4:00 AM ET on September 3, with matchmaking disabled shortly before the maintenance. The update was expected to go live around 6:00 AM ET. The latest patch also arrives as creators and streamers continue to drive attention around Fortnite, including Jynxzi's 100-player tournament.

For Indian players, downtime began at 1:30 PM IST, while the update was expected to become available at approximately 3:30 PM IST. 

What Does v42.10 Add?

The update brings new Sprites, Match Overrides and Loot Hacks, alongside the return of Fortnite OG Season X. It also adds LEGO Fortnite Odyssey – Batman content. 

Among the gameplay additions are new Sprite options and Match Overrides designed to change how matches play out. The update also expands the Loot Hack system, giving players additional ways to interact with loot during matches. 

Players who experienced downtime during the rollout could monitor Fortnite's server status for updates from Epic Games.
