Global Esports win VCT Pacific Stage 2 after stunning reverse sweep

Global Esports are the VCT Pacific Stage 2 champions.

GE completed a stunning reverse sweep against Nongshim RedForce in the grand final, recovering from a 0-2 deficit to win the series 3-2 at the Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan and cementing their status as one of the best VALORANT teams in Asia.

This is also a big moment for Indian esports. An Indian organisation now sits at the top of one of VALORANT’s strongest regions, giving Indian fans and the wider esports community a major result to celebrate.

Nongshim RedForce take an early lead

Nongshim entered the final as the team to beat. They had already defeated GE 2-1 in the upper final, sending them to the lower bracket.

Global Esports responded by beating T1 3-1 in the lower final to secure another chance against Nongshim. However, the rematch did not start well for them.

Nongshim narrowly won Sunset 13-11 before completely shutting GE down on Split. They took the second map 13-2 and moved within one map of winning the championship.

Global Esports start the comeback on Abyss

With no room left for another loss, GE finally found their footing on Abyss.

The teams remained close throughout the map, but GE held on to win 13-10. That result kept them alive and shifted the momentum of the series.

GE carried that confidence into Lotus and produced their most dominant performance of the final. They built an 11-1 lead in the first half before closing the map 13-5, forcing the series onto Haven.

Global Esports complete the reverse sweep

The deciding map was much closer. GE and Nongshim ended the first half of Haven tied at 6-6, leaving the championship open to either team.

GE pulled ahead after the break and eventually secured Haven 13-10, completing the reverse sweep and winning their first VCT Pacific title.

Kr1stal played a major role in the final map, recording 22 kills. Autumn followed with 20, while xavi8k finished the entire series with 79 kills and 31 assists.

Global Esports head to Champions as Pacific’s first seed

The victory sends Global Esports to VALORANT Champions Shanghai as Pacific’s first seed. Nongshim will attend as the second seed, while Paper Rex and T1 complete the region’s four-team lineup.

Global Esports entered the final after losing to Nongshim and then fell two maps behind in the rematch. They still found a way back into the series and finished their Pacific campaign with the trophy.

For Global Esports and their Indian supporters, this title means more than another tournament win. It gives Indian esports a place at the top of the Pacific and sends GE to the biggest VALORANT event of the year.
